Installation & Usage Guide
- Product Overview
The Electric Underfloor Heating Mat is a modern radiant floor heating solution designed to provide uniform, silent, and energy-efficient warmth. It is suitable for residential and light commercial applications under tile, stone, and similar floor finishes.
Key Features
Rated Output: 200 W/m²
Uniform heat distribution
Silent operation
Designed for long continuous use
Compatible with programmable thermostats
- Pre-Installation Requirements
Before installation, ensure the following conditions are met:
Subfloor must be clean, dry, and structurally sound
No sharp edges or debris on the surface
Electrical supply must comply with local electrical codes
Dedicated thermostat with floor temperature sensor is mandatory
Important:
Measure and record the heating mat resistance (Ohms) before installation. This value must match the manufacturer’s specification.
- Installation Guidelines
Lay the heating mat on the prepared subfloor as per the layout plan.
The heating cable must not be cut, crossed, or overlapped.
Floor temperature sensor must be installed between two heating cables and embedded in the floor.
Secure the mat using approved adhesive or fixing method.
Cover the mat with screed or tile adhesive as recommended.
Recommended Screed Thickness
Minimum: 8–10 mm above heating cable
Excessive thickness may increase heat-up time
Electrical Connection
All electrical connections must be performed by a qualified electrician.
Connect the heating mat to a thermostat with floor sensor input.
Earth connection is mandatory.
Do not energize the system during installation.
Curing, Operation & Safety
Curing Period (Critical)
After installation and floor finishing, the system must remain OFF to allow proper curing.
Minimum curing time: 21–28 days
Premature heating may cause cracks or reduced system performance
Operating the system before the recommended curing period may void warranty
First Start-Up Procedure
After the curing period:
Day 1: Set floor temperature to 20°C
Day 2: Increase to 25°C
Day 3: Increase to 30°C
Gradual heating ensures safe moisture evaporation and optimal heat retention.
Operating Temperature Guidelines
Recommended comfort range: 27–30°C
Maximum safe floor temperature: 32–35°C
Temperatures above this range are not recommended
Note: This system is designed for comfort heating, not for extreme surface temperatures.
Carpet & Floor Covering Use
When used under carpets:
Use thin carpets for best performance
Avoid thick rubber or foam backing
Expect slower heat transfer with longer heat retention
For carpeted floors, continuous low-temperature operation is preferred
Maintenance & Repair
The system is maintenance-free under normal use.
In case of malfunction, do not drill or break the floor
Fault detection and repair must be performed using professional tools
Heating mats are repairable by localized access without removing the entire floor
Safety & Disclaimer
Do not drill, nail, or penetrate the floor after installation
Always use a thermostat with floor sensor
Failure to follow installation and usage guidelines may void warranty
This manual provides general guidance. Local electrical and building regulations must always be followed
